India on the way to first consignment with Qatar

 In a significant boost to India's horticultural exports, the Agriculture and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry , Government of India, in collaboration with the Department of Horticulture, Ministry of Agriculture and farmers welfare , Government of Punjab ,facilitated the flag off of the first consignment of 1 metric tonne of rose - scented litchi from pathankot, Punjab to Doha , Qatar on 23rd June 2025.


In addition, 0.5 metric tonne of litchi was also expected to Dubai , UAE from Pathankot, markets.

This milestone initiative underscores the excellence of India's horticultural produce and highlights the country 's growing agri- export capabilities. It offers immense opportunities for farming communities by international market access for their fresh and high value produce.

According to the National Horticultural Board , Punjab's litchi production for FY 2023-2024 stood at 71490 metric tonnes , contributing 12.39% to India's total litchi output . During the same period , India exported  639.53 metric tonnes of litchi. The area under cultivation was 4327 hectares with an average yield of 16,523 kg/ ha.

RBI REPO may expected to cut again, big relief for home loan

 The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is preparing to cut interest rates once again. This news will bring great relief to crores of people who have taken loans. This year RBI has already reduced the repo rate twice 25 basis points in February.  And against 25 basis points in April. Due to this , the repo rate which was 6.5% at the begining of the year has now come down to 6% .  If the central bank cuts it by 25 basis points once against in june , it will come down to 5.75% , which can reduce your EMI even further. According to Economist and treasury heads of banks, a large number of experts believe that RBI may announce a cut of 0.25% i.e 25 basis points in the repo rate on june 6. This cut will directly affect the interest rates of your loan, which will reduce the burden of EMI.  Following the death of pope francis on april 21 2025, at the age of 88, the catholic church preparing for conclave to elect his successor. The conclave  is expected to commence between May 5 to May 10 adhering to the tradition of begging within 15 to 20 days after the papal seats becomes vacant.
