Foreign Students Lawsuit Plea

Harvard filed a lawsuit in the US District Court in Massachuetts earlier on Friday, prompting the judge's swift intervention.

A federal judge has temporarily blocked the trump administration's move strip Harvard University of its ability to enrol International students.

The court issued a temporary restraining order halting the government's decision to revoke Harvard's certification in the atudent and Exchange Visitor Program (SEVP), which allows the university to host foreign students studying in the us on visas.

In her brief ruling , Boston district judge Allison Burtoughs wrote that the university " made a sufficient showing ... That, unless its motion for a temporary restraining order... Is granted , it will sustain immediate and irreparable injury before there is an opportunity to hear from all parties.
